KIDS HEADSHOTS AND CHILD MODELING PHOTOSHOOT

Image
Here are some examples of kids headshots and child modeling headshots that were taken recently with a young child model and actress. Her session included multiple changes to her hair and wardrobe. We also had a hair and make up artist for the photoshoot. Of course the make up was extremely light since she is so young...just a bit of concealor under the eyes and lipgloss, a little glow on the cheeks. These are just a few images out of hundreds of shots, from her kids headshots and modeling photoshoot. Kids heashots should always be on the natural side, but having a hairstylist is helpful to "polish" the look or to create different hairstyles. This child does both acting and modeling so we incorporated both close up headshots for the acting profile and full body images for her child modeling headshots. If you would like to get your child started in acting or modeling or if you already have a talent agent contact us to book your kids headshots by visiting our website Robin Lor

Kids Headshots - Photoshoot With 3 Wardrobe Changes

Image
Kids Headshots - Photoshoot with 3 wardrobe changes. This child actor had a recent photoshoot and we did 3 wardrobe changes. He was updating his kids headshots from the year before as kids grow and need to keep their acting headshot s fresh. Typically a child will update their headshots every year. The rule of thumb is does the child actor look different then his acting headshots from the year before. If the answer is yes then it's time to update your kids headshots. Did your child cut change his hairstyle? Did your child lose their baby teeth? Did your child get braces or grow and now looks older? Then it is time to update your kids headshots. Each wardrobe change within the child's headshot photoshoot will show different expressions from smiles to serious and confident. This image below is a theatrical kids headshot and the child's headshot will be used for TV and film castings. A top kids headshot photographer will be patient with the child but also keep it fun and

KIDS HEADSHOTS EXAMPLES - 3 look session

This was a 3 wardrobe change kids headshot session with the adorable August Peterson from the Nickelodon TV show "The Really Loud House" . It's such a blast to photograph August because she is so funny and a natural comedian. She's also very sweet and playful. Here are a few images from her most recent kids headshot photoshoot. Kids headshots should show personality and this girl definitely has some. Here is another one of her kids headshots. Kids headshots can also include a 3/4 shot or a full body shot. This type of kids headshot is just to show the body type. For the most part a kids headshot would be the face or from the chest up. But on occasion a talent agent or talent manager will want a kids headshot portfolio to have one image showing the body. Here is an example of this type of kids headshot. Kids headshots should also show different moods or types of people. For example in the kids headshot below she is showing her vunerable and sweet side. Here is

KIDS HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHER LOS ANGELES

Image
I am a headshot photographer in Los Angeles and have been specializing in kids headshots for over 10 years. I started taking headshots when my own son began acting. I was already earning an income as a photographer when my son expressed an interest in acting. I put him in an acting class and a short while later, the acting coach recommended he get an agent. I was a bit surprised and wasn't totally sure if he was ready but the coach assured me that my son was a good actor and that we should pursue this because he was interested. I then discovered that the first step to getting an agent is to get your kids headshots. After photographing my own child's headshots, I began getting more request to photograph kids headshots from friends and people in the industry. This began my journey as a kids headshot photographer in Los Angeles . If your child has expressed an interest in acting for TV, film, commercials or print modeling, I can help you get them started and provide you gu

ACTING HEADSHOTS LA Photographer 4 Look Session

Image
Here is an acting headshot session with a beautiful actress. We did 4 outfit changes for the shoot. Her first look is for a young mom or casual office vibe. An approachable friendly commercial acting headshot. This acting headshot shows her as likeable, kind, friendly and very approachabe. It's great for commercial castings. But we also took some shots showing a bit more serious side...nothing too serious, but something that emits confidence. Next we did a professional look. This could work for both commercials and theatrical castings where she might play a lawyer on a procedural or a bank manager for a commercial. This acting headshot shows good range for a variety of roles for commercials, TV and film. Her 3rd outfit was a bit more sexy, girls night out, date night, gorgeous woman. For commercial castings, this might be a high end luxury vehicle or really any high end products where they want to show a beautiful woman. For a theatrical casting (TV and film roles), it might

KIDS HEADSHOTS ARE NOT JUST A PICTURE

Image
Kids headshots are not just a picture.  An acting headshot is your childs calling card and a vital marketing tool. Actors can’t survive without a headshot and the headshot must be a strong photo of the actor to get noticed.  A kids headshot is one of the most important tools which is used throughout a child's acting career.  Even young and established celebrities need a great headshot. Here's an example of a great kids headshot. Photographed by kids headshot photographer Robin Lorraine LA. With today’s online casting your kids headshot needs to stand out in a sea of tiny thumbnails. A casting director views your child's itty, bitty headshot next to several other child actors, and some of these may even resemble your young thespian. Casting may look at several hundred kids headshots submitted for the same role in a matter of moments.  A tight, close-up headshot  that pops off the page is imperative if you want your kid to get noticed by casting directors.
